A building next to the boarding area at Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport where a roof collapsed last month, killing four, has been reopened for use by employees, the French airport operator said on Tuesday. "It was judged safe by a group of independent experts," a spokeswoman for operators Aeroports de Paris (ADP) said. The building, which sits between the damaged boarding area and a hall where passengers check in for their flights, was evacuated when cracks were spotted one day after the accident occurred. It contains offices for ADP employees.

The terminal has been closed to passengers since May 23, when concrete, metal and glass crashed down from the roof of the cylindrical boarding hall. ADP Chairman Pierre Graff has vowed to raze the futuristic boarding building if the structure is found to be flawed. French Transport Minister Gilles de Robien has asked that a commission looking into the causes of the accident submit its preliminary findings by Wednesday.
