Britain, India To Double Weekly Flights

Britain and India will allow 40 weekly flights each way by winter 2005, up from 19 at present, the UK's Department for Transport said on Friday. The move will boost service from the UK to Mumbai and Delhi while opening new direct routes to Bangalore, Hyderabad and Kochi, the DfT said in a statement.

British Airways, Air India and other carriers are expected to secure extra flights as part of the expanded service
