
International Air Traffic Up 6.7 Percent - IATA

International air passenger traffic rose 6.7 percent in the first six months of 2006 compared with the same period last year, the International Air Transport Association (IATA) said on Thursday.
Cross-border air freight, a prime indicator of the health of world trade, rose 5.2 percent in the first half of this year.
For the single month of June, international passenger traffic rose 6.5 percent over the same period in 2005 and international freight traffic rose 4.1 percent.
