Last week I received email from our website host stating that we had exceeded our bandwidth and that we would have to move web hosts. With our web site host, we pay £50 ($100) a year for the site which is a good deal (as adverting on the website amounts to £60 a year, so I can pay the site without a problem) however as our bandwidth is so large because the website is so popular now we have to move and the prices I am being quoted are about £250 ($500) for a year. Fsimzone has been created by me (Akbar Sherwani) and no one else has been involved. The site has been around for nearly 4 years and I can't afford to pay £250 this year for the site. Which leaves me with the following options?

1.) Add more Advertising (presently we have two banners on a page, to get our target we would need at least three more). Not something I would like to do, as its annoying for visitors and slows the site down.

2.) Introduce membership fees such as other flightsim sites do. Again I would not want to do this as the site should remain free for all users.

3.) Close the site permanently

This leaves me with the option of donations. Even if you can't donate then please reply to this post or email me and show your support by telling me what you think about Fsimzone.
