Level-D Announces Service Pack 3 for the 767
Flight Sim Level-D Simulations, in partnership with Flight One Software, is excited to announce the immediate availability of Service Pack 3 for the 767-300ER, exactly on the 1 year anniversary of the release of the product. Service Pack 3 is designed to expand the product in 3 primary areas. First, the Flight Management Computer (FMC) procedure database system has been rewritten to be faster, more user-friendly, more easily expandable, and offer better user control over SIDS, STARS, and APPROACHES. Second, the developers SDK has been expanded with numerous new commands, allowing more complete compatibility with 3rd party software and hardware. Finally, minor fixes have been made to the core instrumentation and navigation system. Flight One president Steve Halpern states "What Level-D has accomplished is very remarkable. Everyone, from the core development staff and the other staff members, to the very involved customers who have jumped on board to participate, have all make this a huge labor of love and search for precision. Sometimes it is the finest and smallest detail that makes a difference in a product or experience, and this is what Level-D has achieved over the years of effort on this project."

Lead Level-D Simulations developers Laurent Crenier and Wade Chafe also state "We have been working together with cockpit builders to bring a level of compatibility with built-in cockpits and third party hardwares that has never seen before with any other add-on. Furthermore, a special effort has been made to support the development of third party addons that further enhance the Level-D 767 experience. This will be evident in the level of integration seen in products such as Left Seat Simulation’s COPILOT: 767 EDITION and in the upcoming FS2Crew for Level-D 767." The service pack is available now in an incremental version (for those who have or updated to version 2.1, including all CD ROM users), as well as a full All-in-One service pack that contains everything since version 1.0. You can visit www.leveldsim.com or www.flight1.com for more information on the product or the updates.
