 Picton is a medium sized ex-military field with three 2,500' runways, arranged in the familiar triangle. There are six very large hangers and numerous other buildings on the field, including rows of red-roofed barracks and mess halls etc. Sadly, the only buildings now involved with aviation are the two belonging to Picton Flying Club, and their yellow-roofed hanger at the west end of the main apron can be seen from a distance.
