Hi, does anyone know how you check the magnetic variation for your current location in FS9?
I'm currently (in real life!) at EGDL in the UK and according to my latest ICAO chart, EGDL is between the 2.5W and 3.5W isogonals. This puts me ~ 3W for the current date and time.
However, in FS9, how do i check this is being correctly simulated? I used the data in the GPS of the C172 and that indicated that EGDL had a variation of 4W not 3W!
I checked the FS9 date and it was correct. Furthermore, i then rolled the FS9 date forwards by 10 years and restarted the flight - this should have simulated a change in the magnetic variation of at least 1 degrees. However, the GPS still said 4W.
How can i confirm, for sure, what the simulated magnetic variation is in FS9? It is essential for accurate VFR navigation, especially where the deviation is much bigger, like in the states.

I checked a few charts as well and it does look like that FS9 does not simulate the magentic changes.
I think they have turned it off as it would mean if you change the dates airport runways would be different such as 32R might be 31R.
I think its kept the same and does not change, however they may be addressing that in FSx?
