IVAO LKAA event - 36! hours online nonstop
Flight Sim Anonymous writes "IVAO Network, Czech division, is very proud to invite you again to very unusual event, prepared for you in the heart of the Europe - LKAA FIR and LKPR Praha-Ruzyne airport on 28th - 29th October, 2005. It's not only anniversary of The Czech Republic (estabilished as Czechoslovakia 87 years ago on 28th October) but also more massive successor to the great LKAA 30 hours online. For the second time, we will provide non-stop online service for a long period of time. First attempt for such a fly-in was this summer LKAA 30 hour event and it was very successful. There were 430+ movements in LKAA FIR, 8 pilots gained special 30 hours event award, there was only 12mins of silence on the frequencies with no pilot online during the whole event. As some pilots arrived sooner than we expected, we also decided to add at least another 6 hours of service prior to main fly-in evening, so we are looking forward to amazing 36 hours of non-stop service this time.

Dear VA member, IVAO member, Flight Simulator Pilot, Aviation enthusiast, ...

IVAO Network, Czech division, is very proud to invite you again to very unusual event, prepared for you in the heart of the Europe - LKAA FIR and LKPR Praha-Ruzyne airport on 28th - 29th October, 2005.

The goal of the action is once again to attract maximum amount of traffic while providing highly professional and effective ATC services during "rush hours" of both evenings, and also provide more than sufficient ATC coverage during whole night and day. There will be 36 hours of ATC coverage non-stop provided, including both evenings fully staffed LKPR (10+ ATCs online including Follow me, Departure or information) and all important ATC stations online during the rest of the event - CTR and APP, others according to traffic requirements.

How will we achieve high quality of service with such an amount of traffic and ATCs? All ATC services will be provided from one place - for 36 hours, an computer class of one University in Prague will become an IVAO integrated air traffic control center where all up to ten ATCs will be controlling from one room, using voice coordination, paper strips, wide projection of TWR and GND view and will use real life procedures for issuing clearances, handoffs between controllers and coordination etc. We will also provide news from this center, webcam view and photo do*****entation.

We are kindly asking all IVAO VAs and division members to participate on this massive event, to share our beloved country airspace and airports with the pilots from around the world. Fly anywhere, anytime to LKAA FIR so we can enjoy very interesting numbers of traffic, as you definitely will.

And how can you participate? Easily - come, fly and visit us. All flights (IFR/VFR, scheduled, not scheduled, VA organised, military or private) are welcome, but to make your experience even better, we would like to ask you for a bit of cooperation. We are preparing a new way of booking; all pilots will book just their slots and choose themselves a destination, type of aircraft etc. Based on this information, we will provide them flight plans and other necessary information. For VAs, we'd like to extend this service and allow for example to book slots for a group flights, etc. Please be so kind, and send as an email that includes some basic information about how would you like to participate - number of flights, their destination/departures and approximate number of those flights. If we will get such a list, we can arrange slots exactly how you would like, prepare flightplans for you and you can book then easily. It will also help us predict traffic during the event and manage our ATCs better. The fact that event lasts for 36 hours even allows us to invite VAs and members from very far parts of the world, as ATC service will be provided even in (for Europeans) less usual times which might be suitable for members from different time zones. And again, if you'll send as some basic information about your arrival/departure, we can prepare for you an ATC service even at 0300UTC, probably also covering some area of your particular interest more extensively.

Example of reports that would help us manage the traffic:

- Our VA will participate with 5 pilots all flying there and back to EDDS any time in the evening
- Our VA will participate with group flight of 6 pilots so we would like to reserve slots between 2000 UTC and 2015 UTC for our arrival and slots between 2045 UTC and 2100 UTC for departure.
- Our VA will have two pilots making shuttle between EPWA and LKPR whole evening both days.
Etc etc...

We would also like to kindly ask you to help us with spreading of information about this event to all your members and visitors, so please post information about this event on your website and forum. Thank you very much for cooperation.

How would you stay in touch with latest developments? We will keep you informed on important details using mail and also keep an eye on events page:
http://ivaocz.virtualskies.net/Events/LKAA_FIR_36_HOURS_EN/?language=en
where all necessary information, like booking, traffic prediction, maps and procedures for LKAA, scenery, etc... will be provided and updated for you.

We are looking forward to meet you any time during these 36 hours and we hope together we'll enjoy a new level of online flying experience.

Your IVAO CZ-STAFF "
